Hello

My name is Cassie Meredith and I'm based in Waikanae, New Zealand. 
My time in the pottery studio is mainly spent creating imperfectly perfect functional pottery for the home. 
A passion born through a need for a creative outlet. That same creative spark which was instilled in me from a young age. With a Sign Writer dad (the old school hand painted sign writing) and a mom who was a Teacher and a hands-on sewer/maker (and still is). There was always a lot of inspiration around our family homes, lots of nudges to use my imagination, make and create, I am forever grateful for this.
I can safely say I have found my happy place. My journey with ceramics is ever evolving. I am forever a student of this craft.
My aim is to create pieces that bring joy, style and interest to your home. Handmade items that feel handmade and bespoke, they are not 'cookie cutter' factory made items!

It's my mission to inspire creativity in the community, my workshops provide a space to slow down and be present. These workshops led me on a journey to bring 'The Clay Kit' to life! The Clay Kits are an extension of my mission, they have been developed to bring creativity to you in your own home. There is so much research that indicates even just a short amount of creative time has a big impact on your well being. You can now create with clay easily at home, simple instructions will start you off and then the possibilities are endless!
